Safer Kids: Road safety education K-6
This NEW workshop is run in partnership with School Drug Education and Road Aware (SDERA).
The workshop supports school staff working with Kindergarten to Year 6 students and provides participants with the opportunity to:
enhance awareness of road safety issues for children
unpack road safety education resources that link to the WA Health and Physical Education Curriculum, WA Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines and the Early Years Learning Framework
explore an effective whole school approach to road safety education
take a tour of the Safety School to experience the unique augmented reality safety scenario app and learn how to organise an excursion from the booking process to your role when you are there.
The workshop is free, light lunch is provided and certificates of participation will be issued on completion. SDERA will cover the cost of teacher relief.
