merry christmas from constable care

A Christmas message from Constable Care CEO

As the year draws to a close, I would like to wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to our supporters, volunteers, partners, staff and the community. What we have achieved together over the course of this year would not have been possible without you.

Since welcoming our first students to the Constable Care Safety School in September, our backyard has been abuzz with delighted primary school children using simulation and play to bring key road & transport safety messages out of the classroom and into practice. More than 2,000 children have already navigated the Safety School’s realistic augmented reality-enhanced urban environment.

Another exciting milestone for 2017: after 28 years of walking the beat alone, Constable Care now has a partner, Constable Clare! Just in time for the 100 Years of Women in Policing celebrations, Constable Clare pays tribute to the accomplishments of a century of female police officers in this state, and we hope she will inspire and empower the young women and girls of WA, and encourage them to consider careers in the Force.

We’ve also debuted two new performances this year. Frenemies helps upper primary students to create and promote a culture of respect and consideration amongst their school community, and Candy Shop encourages secondary students to consider the risks and reasons behind illicit substance abuse, and to generate solutions.

On behalf of the Constable Care team, I’d like to thank you all for your amazing contributions, both financial and of your valuable time, allowing us to reach over 110,000 children each year.

I look forward to sharing with you in the New Year some of the exciting new programs we have planned for 2018 and hope that you have a wonderful festive season.

Kind regards,
David Gribble

CEO, Constable Care Child Safety Foundation
